3 Things All Beard Growers Should be Doing

Last Updated on

Although there are a ton of articles out there that say what to do and what not to do when growing a beard, the bottom line is that it’s really not rocket science. After all, we are just talking about hair, right?

Keep it simple and don’t overthink it. If you are doing the 3 things listed below (at a minimum), then I have no doubt that you will get to your desired result.

Here’s what I believe to be the top 3 things you should definitely be doing when attempting to grow that beastly man mane!

  1. Learn to Train Your Beard

A regular trim can maintain your chosen shape, but it’s a pretty scary endeavor and is not the only way to help keep that beast in check. A daily run-through with a beard comb or a boar’s head beard brush will help corral the stubborn hairs, training them to grow in a downward direction.

This is best accomplished by starting early.

It’s not just the longer beards that need this attention. You can even help out the natural sculpting process by using a Beard Balm which will help aid in the manageability and overall appearance for a more natural look while keeping that beard in shape.

Using a beard balm daily to help sculpt will not only give you that immediate manageability, but continued use can assist with training those hairs to stay put.

  1. Beard Oil? Ummm……YES!

If you haven’t figured it out yet, nothing tames a beard like regular use of beard oil. There are many beard oils on the market today that you can choose from and all of them attempt to solve the bearded problem of conditioning and overall health.

Believe it or not, all beard oils are not created equally.

When choosing a proper beard oil, make sure you are staying all natural.  Some beard oils will include fragrance oils as opposed to essential oils. Fragrance oils are typically not natural and probably not the best thing for your beard.

Beard oil is also not just for the long beards either.

Keeping your skin and beard hairs conditioned and healthy in the beginning is just as important as it is with the longer beards. Using a great beard oil on a daily basis will do wonders and you will look back wondering why you didn’t use it earlier. Once you see the difference, you will be a happier beardsman.

Simple as that!

And the #1 thing all beard growers need to do is……..

  1. Be Patient!

A truly epic and amazing beard is the product of self-restraint and patience.

When you first start growing, resist the urge to trim or style, and leave it untouched for the first month or two. This will allow the hairs to grow in evenly (some grow faster than others), and help you pick a style that suits its length and thickness.

Most people struggle getting past the first couple of months. Resist the urges, be patient, take care of yourself and reap the rewards that come with having an epic beard. Great things come to those who wait, right?

Happy Bearding!!
